Just off I-495 and Route 3, about 30 minutes from Downtown Boston and one mile from Lowell, this chain link that was under renovations during our Survey "meets expectations" for a "relaxing", "clean" "comfortable" stay at a "good" price; the pool and fitness room are "much larger than at most hotels" and the lobby is "gorgeous", so it's just the "too-thin walls" and several in-room "maintenance" issues that are bothersome.

The beds were comfortable.

There was a long walk to the pool and registration desk.

This was a nice enough hotel. The main areas were on the old side and while the place seemed very clean, a musty 'old hotel' odor lingered in the common areas. It was decorated very nicely, nice updates.

The guest check in was in one building, then you had to drive to another building to reach your room.

Nice hotel. I arrive, bags in hand to check in. Staff very friendly. Then I had to take bags back to my car and drive around the property to reach my room. Room was very attractive, but furnishings were not so comfortable. Just because it looks lovely doesn't mean it feels so! Good dinner in the Independence Pub, bartender accommodating and friendly. TV set up is hard to see if you are sitting in certain areas of the bar. Cheesecake was old. Rooms are relaxing. Unfortunately, my room was right behind the loading area of the post office from 4:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. the constant beep-beep of postal trucks kept me awake. It's a nice hotel. ...read more
